During the hire period and subsequent loan period, the electric bike belongs to Green Commute Initiative. To discuss ownership options,please contact GCI.
At the end of the hire period, GCI will contact you to discuss the end-of-hire options.The preferred option is to transfer you to a free-of-charge loan agreement to take the bike to 6 years old. This means no benefit-in-kind tax will apply thereby maximising your savings. At the end of 6 years, ownership may be transferred to you.
We highly recommend you have insurance in place to protect your electric bike. If your bike is stolen, you are still liable for the agreement and payment.
The maximum limit is £10,000 but employers may set internal limits for employees based on their monthly salary.
